There is no sign-up, no email, no profile on a server somewhere. Open it and the devices around you are already there.
Your files never leave the building
Bytes go straight from one device to the other across your own Wi-Fi. Nothing is uploaded, so nothing can be retained, scanned or leaked.
Size is not a feature we sell you
There is no 2 GB ceiling and no paid tier above it. A folder of raw video moves the same way a screenshot does.
Three steps, and two of them are automatic

Open it on both devices
The app, or just the browser on a phone with nothing installed. Both need to be on the same Wi-Fi.

They find each other
Devices announce themselves on the local network and appear on each other's screen within a second or two.

Drop and it hops
Pick a device, confirm on the far side, and it moves. If the Wi-Fi drops, it picks up where it stopped rather than starting again.
iPhone & iPad
Nothing to install on iOS
On iPhone and iPad, LumiHop is a web page rather than an app. That is a deliberate choice: a native version would mean a paid developer account, App Store review, and an app iOS still would not let receive files in the background.
Open the same link on two phones and they will see each other. Files travel directly between the browsers over your Wi-Fi.

What we will not pretend
- The installers are unsigned. macOS and Windows will both warn you the first time, and the download page tells you exactly what to click.
- Two browsers need a server to introduce them, because a web page cannot broadcast on a network. Your files still never touch it.
- Want zero contact with the internet? Run the desktop app and it does the introducing itself, on your own network.
